Recently, I had the liberty of also talking to Julia Kato, who's just recently started communicating online, well to fans anyway! Like Cheryl Chase(Angelica), she is very nostalgic about "Rugrats" as well, and misses working on it! What is she doing, as of today?! You'll find out!

Zac:

Dear Julia,

How did you start your voice career off?!

Julia:

I was lucky, one of the first auditions I ever went on was for a cartoon and I booked it... and it got started from there.

Zac:

Cool, and what cartoon was that?

Julia:

"Bonkers" for Disney Television Animation

Zac:

Amazing! How did you get the role of Kira for "Rugrats in Paris", and following up to that, the TV show?!

Julia:

I auditioned and was thrilled to book it since I knew it was such a popular franchise already. The first Rugrats movie was the first non-Disney movie to break the 100 million mark at the box office. It was a double booking since I got the TV series AND the movie when I won the role.

Zac:

I'm loving the enthusiasm here, and I think you're incredibly lucky to have won the role! What's your take on Kira anyway?

Julia:

I loved playing her and she is a good person. A sweet, kind and caring person who is loving mother...and she stands up to the evil Coco in the movie, so she can hold her own too

Zac

What was the experience on working with fellow cast members/crew?

Julia:

They were very welcoming and kind...I miss them all and felt so privileged to work with such a top-notch production, cast and crew! Arlene Klasky and Gabor Csupo are my heroes!

Zac:

What's your view on Rugrats, and if so, are you supportive of a tenth season of the series, despite the All Grown Up spinoff?

Julia:

Yes, part of the success off a franchise is to show our appreciation to loyal fans like you!

Zac:

Thanks!

Julia:

I think "Rugrats" is timeless and if it can be revived, think it would be amazing!

Zac:

What's your favorite character on "Rugrats", personally?

Julia:

As far as favorites, of course, I'm partial to my own two Rugrats, Chuckie and Kimi! I loved being introduced to Rugrats with my daughter Kimi and then becoming Chuckie's new mommy!

Zac:

Any words to say to your loyal fanbase?

Julia:

I would like to thank my fans for their loyal and and amazing support for alll of us on Rugrats over the years! Without you, the show and the movies would not have been the pop culture phenomenal success it has become. Rugrats also has a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Hopefully through that, re-runs and DVD's and fansites, it can continue to live in everyone's hearts always!
